The role

Internal Scope of Work1. Role Overview

The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for creating high-quality visual content for the agency’s clients across different industries and digital platforms.

This is a hands-on design role that combines direct creative execution with creative development, quality control, and team collaboration. The designer is expected to personally produce daily design deliverables, handle revisions, and manage multiple client accounts while maintaining the agency’s creative standards.

The candidate must have previous digital agency experience, understand the fast-paced nature of agency operations, and be capable of working across different brands, industries, and marketing objectives.

Providing creative guidance to other designers is part of the role, but the primary responsibility remains hands-on design execution, not simply directing or delegating work.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Graphic Design & Creative Execution

  • Personally design and execute daily creative deliverables across assigned client accounts.
  • Create high-quality static social media posts, carousels, infographics, digital advertisements, banners, and promotional materials.
  • Develop visual concepts based on creative briefs, content calendars, campaign objectives, and client requirements.
  • Design marketing presentations, branded materials, and other digital assets when required.
  • Adapt designs into different sizes and formats for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, and other relevant platforms.
  • Execute campaign creatives, seasonal campaigns, product launches, and promotional activities.
  • Handle design revisions directly and ensure deliverables are completed according to the agreed brief and timeline.
  • Ensure all designs are visually engaging, platform-appropriate, and aligned with the client's marketing objectives.

Core expectation: The designer must actively work on design production every day and remain directly responsible for delivering assigned creative assets.

B. Creative Thinking & Brand Consistency

  • Translate creative briefs and marketing messages into effective visual concepts.
  • Develop creative directions that reflect each client's brand identity, audience, and objectives.
  • Maintain visual consistency across all deliverables within each account.
  • Contribute ideas for campaigns, content series, product launches, and seasonal activities.
  • Research design references, competitor creatives, and relevant visual trends.
  • Recommend improvements to existing creative approaches and visual communication.
  • Ensure all creative output meets the agency's quality standards before delivery.

C. Multi-Account & Agency Workflow Management

  • Work across multiple client accounts from different industries.
  • Understand and apply different brand guidelines, visual identities, and communication styles.
  • Manage multiple design requests, projects, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Coordinate with Account Managers and Content Creators to understand briefs and clarify requirements.
  • Collaborate with social media and performance marketing teams to develop suitable organic and paid advertising assets.
  • Prioritize tasks based on deadlines, campaign requirements, and account needs.
  • Communicate workload constraints and potential delivery delays proactively.

D. Video, Motion & Digital Creative Support

  • Create motion graphics and animated social media assets when required.
  • Collaborate with video editors and motion designers to maintain consistency across static and video content.
  • Provide visual references, storyboards, and design assets to support video production.
  • Design video covers, thumbnails, and supporting promotional graphics.
  • Understand the creative requirements of digital advertising formats and adapt assets accordingly.

E. Quality Control & Team Collaboration

  • Review creative deliverables for visual quality, accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Ensure correct typography, alignment, colors, logos, copy, and product details.
  • Provide constructive feedback and practical design guidance to junior designers.
  • Support other team members when needed and share design knowledge and best practices.
  • Help maintain consistent quality across the agency's creative output.
  • Remain accountable for personal design deliverables while supporting the wider team.

Team guidance and reviewing colleagues' work are additional responsibilities and must not replace the designer's own production work.

F. File Management & Delivery

  • Prepare and export final designs in the required formats, dimensions, and resolutions.
  • Maintain organized working files and follow the agency's file-naming and storage procedures.
  • Ensure final assets are ready for publication, advertising, or client presentation.
  • Follow the agency's briefing, approval, and revision processes.
  • Deliver assigned work within agreed timelines without compromising quality.

G. Creative Research & Development

  • Stay updated on graphic design trends, digital advertising formats, and social media best practices.
  • Explore new tools, techniques, and creative approaches to improve output quality.
  • Use AI-assisted design tools where appropriate to improve workflow and creative exploration.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute practical ideas to client campaigns.
  • Continuously improve design execution, efficiency, and creative problem-solving.

3. Required Experience

  • 4–6+ years of professional graphic design experience.
  • Mandatory previous experience working in a digital or advertising agency.
  • Proven experience personally executing designs for multiple client accounts across different industries.
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating social media design, digital campaigns, advertisements, and creative concepts.
  • Experience handling multiple projects, revisions, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience working with Arabic and English content is an advantage.
  • Previous experience mentoring junior designers or reviewing creative work is a plus.

4. Required Skills & Tools

  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
  • Good working knowledge of Adobe InDesign and other relevant creative tools.
  • Strong understanding of typography, composition, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Understanding of social media specifications and digital advertising formats.
  • Ability to interpret creative briefs and execute designs independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Good time management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage feedback, revisions, and tight deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.

5. Performance KPIs

The Senior Graphic Designer will be evaluated based on:

  • Design output: Meeting agreed monthly design and creative deliverable targets.
  • Hands-on execution: Maintaining direct ownership of assigned designs from brief to final delivery.
  • Timeliness: Delivering creative assets according to agreed deadlines.
  • Design quality: Maintaining high visual standards across all assigned accounts.
  • Accuracy: Minimizing avoidable errors in copy, branding, layouts, and exported files.
  • Creative contribution: Developing effective visual concepts and contributing ideas to campaigns.
  • Efficiency: Managing workload and revisions effectively.
  • Brand consistency: Applying client guidelines correctly across deliverables.
  • Collaboration: Working effectively with Account Managers, Content Creators, and marketing teams.
  • Team contribution: Supporting junior designers and helping improve the quality of the creative team's output.

6. Ideal Candidate Profile

A creative, detail-oriented, and highly skilled designer with proven digital agency experience who can independently execute high-quality designs across multiple client accounts and industries.

The ideal candidate understands how design supports marketing objectives, can switch between different brand identities, manages deadlines effectively, and consistently delivers strong creative work.

They should be comfortable guiding junior colleagues and contributing to creative direction while remaining actively involved in daily design production.

7. Role Expectations

  • This is a hands-on design position, not a purely managerial or supervisory role.
  • The designer is expected to personally execute assigned creative deliverables rather than primarily delegating work to colleagues.
  • Previous digital agency experience is mandatory.
  • The role requires the ability to manage multiple clients, industries, briefs, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Creative quality, execution speed, accuracy, and reliability are equally important.
  • Team guidance and creative development are expected alongside direct design production.
