The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Marvel at Everything, where you’ll work with a wide and varied portfolio of clients—from established names such as Ramsay Health Care, Merlin, MGF, Ainscough Industrial Services and LEGO, to independent businesses and community organisations including Wiggleworks, Tiny Rockers, Vault Youth Zone and Complete Convey, to name a few.

At Marvel at Everything, we believe in the power of design to tell stories, evoke emotions, and create unforgettable experiences. As a leading creative agency, we specialise in crafting innovative and impactful visual solutions that leave a lasting impression. Join us and become part of a team that’s passionate about marvelling at every detail.

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to bring fresh ideas and a strong creative vision to our team. The ideal candidate thrives on creating visually stunning designs that resonate with our audience and align with our brand’s ethos. From concept to execution, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of Marvel at Everything and our clients.

The Role

You will work on a varied mix of projects for clients across different sectors. From developing visual concepts and creating artwork to preparing files for print or manufacture, you will help deliver work that is creative, accurate and right for each client. You’ll work closely with the wider team, including account management, production and installation, and contribute ideas throughout each project.

  • Create concepts, layouts and finished artwork for branding, print, signage, events and digital projects.
  • Design brochures, leaflets, posters, banners, exhibition graphics, vehicle graphics, internal communications and social media content.
  • Prepare artwork and production files to the correct specifications for print, manufacturer and installation.
  • Adapt existing brand guidelines and artwork across different formats and sizes.
  • Develop visual mock-ups and proofs for clients to review and approve, and make amendments in response to client and team feedback.
  • Manage several projects at once and keep work organised to meet agreed deadlines.
  • Check artwork carefully for accuracy, consistency, spelling and technical requirements
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute ideas to briefs and creative discussions.
  • Keep up to date with design trends, software and production techniques.
  • File organisation of proofs and print files using our internal file management system, ensuring all client brand guidelines are maintained and updated.

About You

You’ll be a creative and organised designer who can take a brief, ask the right questions and turn it into a clear and effective design. You’ll be comfortable switching between projects and balancing creative thinking with the practical details needed to get work produced. You will also bring:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a graphic design role, agency or in-house environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop.
  • A good understanding of layout, typography, colour and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience preparing print-ready artwork and working with production specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence checking your own work
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach
  • The ability to plan your workload, manage feedback and meet deadlines
  • The ability to be fully adaptable, and able to re-assess working priorities to meet customer demands.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates a range of creative work.

What you can expect

You’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative team working on varied projects for a wide range of clients. The role offers the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop your skills and see your designs move from concept to finished product.

This role offers scope to take ownership of the creative design process. As you grow in the role, there will be the opportunity to take on greater responsibility for the creative direction of projects and the development of our own design work. For the right person, this could develop into a senior creative leadership role, with a clear progression towards becoming Head of Creative.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience, and additional benefits.
  • A vibrant, creative, and collaborative work culture.
  • Opportunities to work on exciting projects for high-profile clients.
  • Professional development opportunities to help you grow and thrive in your role.
