Job Description

The Role

At NEXT we have a great opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract. As a Midweight Graphic Designer within our Brand Marketing team, you will play a pivotal role in creating innovative creative concepts for new marketing campaigns that represent and elevate the Next brand. Reporting to Campaign Design Manager you will turn briefs into visually striking, commercial design solutions across seasonal campaigns, retail spaces, and digital platforms. You will champion brand consistency, maintain high-quality aesthetic standards, and collaborate closely with wider design teams to ensure seamlessly executed customer experiences.

What You'll Take On

  • Develop original, engaging visual concepts and marketing materials across digital, social media, print, and in-store channels while upholding Next brand guidelines.
  • Contribute to campaign pitch decks by shaping research, colour palettes, campaign names, taglines, logo variations, animated logos, and product applications.
  • Keep up-to-date with design industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing insights with the wider team to build an inspiring resource bank.
  • Continuously evaluate competitor marketing activity to make strategic recommendations that preserve Next’s position as a market leader.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, campaign teams, and retail teams to deliver impactful designs on time and exceed customer expectations.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in a similar role, supported by a portfolio demonstrating exceptional creative and commercial work.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator), alongside strong knowledge of print-ready production, colour profiles, and digital file formats.
  • A strong understanding and appreciation of typography, composition, layout, photography, animation, and print processes.
  • Confidence in story boarding, pitching concepts, and presenting ideas to internal teams, managers, and directors.
  • High attention to detail, a flexible approach across multiple briefs, and a genuine enthusiasm for retail and fashion trends.
