Owlera is an AI-powered career platform that helps students and fresh graduates gain practical experience through internship simulations inspired by real companies.

We're looking for creative, visually-driven students to join our Graphic Design Internship and gain hands-on experience designing the visuals that help brands communicate, stand out, and connect with their audiences.

About the Internship

As a Graphic Design Intern, you'll work on realistic business challenges involving brand identity, social media visuals, marketing collateral, layout design, and visual storytelling.

You'll learn how professional designers turn briefs into polished designs — choosing typography, color, composition, and imagery that communicate a message clearly and make brands memorable.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret creative briefs and translate them into original visual concepts.
  • Design social media graphics, banners, and campaign visuals.
  • Create brand identity elements such as logos, color palettes, and style guides.
  • Design marketing collateral including flyers, brochures, and posters.
  • Develop layouts for presentations, reports, and digital documents.
  • Create infographics that turn data and ideas into clear, engaging visuals.
  • Design email headers, newsletter templates, and web graphics.
  • Produce ad creatives for digital advertising campaigns.
  • Adapt designs for different formats, sizes, and platforms.
  • Apply typography principles to create readable, attractive designs.
  • Work with color theory to build cohesive, on-brand color schemes.
  • Use composition and visual hierarchy to guide the viewer's eye.
  • Prepare print-ready and web-ready files with correct specifications.
  • Retouch and optimize images for digital use.
  • Create mockups to present designs in realistic contexts.
  • Incorporate feedback and iterate on designs through revision rounds.
  • Maintain organized design files, assets, and version histories.
  • Use AI design tools for ideation, asset generation, and faster workflows.
  • Present design concepts and explain the reasoning behind creative choices.

Requirements

  • Current student or recent graduate in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, Media, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in visual design, branding, and digital media.
  • Creative thinking and a good eye for layout, color, and typography.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or Illustrator (any level).
  • Ability to take a brief and turn it into original visual ideas.
  • Attention to detail and pride in polished, clean work.
  • Openness to feedback and willingness to revise designs.
  • Basic understanding of social media formats and digital content.
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Previous professional graphic design experience is not required.

What You'll Gain

  • Hands-on experience solving realistic graphic design challenges.
  • A portfolio of brand identity, social, and marketing design projects.
  • Practical experience with industry-standard design tools and workflows.
  • Experience designing across formats: social, print, web, and presentations.
  • Understanding of typography, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience building brand style guides and design systems.
  • Experience creating infographics and data-driven visuals.
  • Practical exposure to AI-assisted design workflows.
  • Experience presenting design concepts and defending creative decisions.
  • Experience incorporating stakeholder feedback through revision rounds.
  • Understanding of file preparation for print and digital delivery.
  • Personalized AI feedback on your work.
  • Professional certificate upon successful completion.
  • Mentorship and weekly learning sessions.
  • Opportunity to strengthen your portfolio, resume, and interview readiness.
