We’re looking for an experienced Senior Brand Designer to work with Proof of Work Studio.

This is a role for a designer who combines original thinking with strong craft. You’ll develop brand identities from the first idea through to the systems and applications that make them work in practice.

The opportunity

You’ll work closely with our founders and design collaborators to lead brand projects from concept to delivery.

The work calls for both conceptual range and attention to detail. You’ll explore different directions, build a clear case for your ideas and develop the chosen identity across websites, products, campaigns and communications.

What you’ll do

• Develop brand concepts informed by positioning and strategy.
• Create logos, wordmarks, typography and colour systems.
• Build identities that remain coherent across different formats.
• Apply and test your work across websites, social content, investor decks and launch campaigns.
• Create guidelines that help clients and collaborators use the identity.
• Present your thinking clearly and develop the work through feedback.

About you

Your portfolio shows complete brand identities, from the initial concept through to finished applications. You can move from exploring an idea to refining the smallest details.

You’ll bring

• A strong record of delivering professional brand design projects independently.
• Strong conceptual thinking and visual judgement.
• Excellent typography, composition and identity design skills.
• Experience developing brand systems across multiple applications.
• The ability to explain your decisions and collaborate across design disciplines.
• Strong written and spoken English, with the ability to explain your work and communicate clearly with clients and colleagues.

Skills in motion, 3D, digital design or AI image and video tools would also be useful.

Working with us

This is freelance work on individual projects, with no retainer or exclusivity. You must be based in the UK or Europe, be available during UK or CET working hours and be able to invoice legally from your country of residence.

We agree the brief and fee before work starts, pay on time and do not ask for unpaid pitches or speculative work.
