The role

About AS Beauty

AS Beauty is one of the fastest-growing cosmetic companies in the market today. We are a family-run business based in New York, NY, focused on developing global beauty brands that deliver real-world solutions to a diverse consumer base. AS Beauty’s portfolio includes renowned brands Laura Geller Beauty, Bliss, and Julep Beauty. We are continually developing products that are innovative, effective, and ensure that our customers feel beautiful inside and out.

About the Role

AS Beauty is looking for a Junior Performance Designer to join our fast-paced creative team, supporting a portfolio of beauty brands across paid media and email.

This is a hands-on production and design role for someone who is creative, highly organized, and comfortable working in a high-volume performance environment. You’ll work closely with Creative, Growth, and Email teams to turn strategic briefs into compelling, on-brand creative designed to drive action.

A major focus of this role will be developing and iterating paid social advertising and email creative across multiple brands. The ideal candidate can take clear direction, execute quickly, manage feedback from multiple stakeholders, and use performance insights and AI tools to work smarter and faster.

What You’ll Do

  • Design promotional, product-focused, and lifecycle email creative across multiple AS Beauty brands.
  • Design high-volume paid media creative across Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, and other performance channels.
  • Translate creative briefs, campaign strategies, and stakeholder direction into polished, conversion-focused assets.
  • Create static ads, carousels, GIFs, motion-based assets, email graphics, and other digital creative.
  • Develop multiple creative variations for testing, including new hooks, layouts, messaging hierarchies, offers, CTAs, and visual treatments.
  • Work primarily in Figma to build, adapt, version, and organize creative efficiently.
  • Follow established brand guidelines while understanding how to adapt creative for direct-response and performance marketing.
  • Take direction and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders across Creative, Growth, Brand, Email, and other teams.
  • Manage a high volume of requests across multiple brands while staying organized and meeting deadlines.
  • Make fast, accurate revisions based on creative feedback and performance needs.
  • Use AI tools as part of the creative workflow to improve speed and efficiency, support ideation, generate or adapt assets, explore variations, and streamline repetitive production work.
  • Partner with performance and creative teams to understand what is working and apply learnings to future iterations.
  • Maintain organized Figma files, templates, and asset libraries that allow the team to scale creative production.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1–3 years of graphic or digital design experience; beauty, fashion, e-commerce, agency, or DTC experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of Figma.
  • Strong understanding of typography, hierarchy, composition, color, and digital design fundamentals.
  • Interest in performance marketing and direct-response creative, not just traditional brand design.
  • Ability to follow a brief closely while bringing thoughtful creative execution to the work.
  • Comfortable receiving direction and feedback from multiple stakeholders and quickly translating it into revisions.
  • Ability to work across multiple brands and adjust to different visual identities and audiences.
  • Comfortable in a fast-moving, high-volume environment with shifting priorities and tight timelines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality while working quickly.
  • Curious about AI and excited to use emerging tools to make the design process faster and more efficient.
  • Collaborative, receptive to feedback, and eager to learn from more senior creative and performance team members.

What Success Looks Like

  • You’re able to take a brief and run with it. You understand the difference between creative that simply looks good and creative that needs to stop the scroll, communicate a benefit quickly, and drive a click or conversion.
  • You can move between brands, campaigns, and channels without losing attention to detail. You’re comfortable with feedback, quick iterations, and a high volume of deliverables—and you actively look for ways to use templates, systems, Figma, and AI to make the entire creative process more efficient.
  • Most importantly, you’re excited to grow as a designer while learning how creative, media, and performance data work together to drive results.
