Job Description
An online fashion retail company is looking for a Jr. Art Director/Designer to join their California based team and create visuals and print designs for the seasonal collections and also the brand communication.
As an Art Director, you will work closely with Management, Design and Sales and will be responsible for beautiful designs and visual content for web, social media, and other communication assets.
As an Art Director you will:
-Study and research print and pattern trends collaborating on the seasonal concept
-Create new print and patterns, redevelop layouts and colors of bought prints when needed
-CADs and color ways
-Support execution of prints and strike-offs approval
-Create visual artworks, content and deliverables for brand initiatives across all channels and platforms (web, print, emails, among others)
-Provide artworks for sales, such as E-commerce, presentations, posters, catalogues ( seasonal look books) and other as needed
-Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities and develop ideas to reach companies objectives
-Collaborate with Design and sales creating periodic content for social media platforms
-Make sure all visuals and ideas are aligned with brand strategy and values
-Bring best in class, innovative ideas and solutions fitting into budget
-Assist photoshoots and make sure all needed images are captured for assets
-Overview and assist image retouch, editing, approvals
-Manage time and budget, partnering with Design team
-Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
-Distribute printed collateral to global offices, local stores and event locations when needed
Our ideal Art Director has these skills and experience:
- + 4 years of experience as Art Director/ Graphic Designer in fashion or luxury industry
-Strong vision of fashion
-Understanding of arts, music, design
-Exceptional art direction/design skills
-Excellent communication skills, verbal and written (fluent in English)
-Ability to work cross functionally and build relationships
-Excellent skills in Adobe Creative (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and other creative tools
-Experience with digital and web layouts
-Organized, problem solver, self-starter and efficient fulfilling project from start to finish
-Able to manage time and prioritize tasks in multiple projects with tight deadlines
-Very detail oriented and hands on
-Friendly, positive and innovative team player
