Graphic Designer
The role
Segway Navimow, a subsidiary of Segway-Ninebot, is revolutionizing lawn care with our line of advanced, wire-free robotic lawn mowers. We integrate cutting-edge GPS, AI, and robotics technology to offer effortless, precise, and sustainable outdoor solutions. Our mission is to create a more relaxed, joyful, and beautiful outdoor lifestyle for people around the world. We are a fast-growing, remote-first organization built on innovation and technical excellence.
Position Summary
We are seeking an autonomous, highly versatile, and proactive Graphic Designer to join our remote North American Marketing team reporting to the Sr. Channel Marketing Manager. Rather than waiting for top-down assignments, this role is built for a self-starter who thrives in a highly cross-functional environment—partnering directly with product, marketing, and sales teams to
independently spot opportunities, pitch visual solutions, and drive initiatives from concept to execution. You will be responsible for creating compelling visual narratives that communicate the high-tech user experience of our robotic mowers. This role demands 5+ years of professional experience, a strong entrepreneurial mindset, and an expert command of the industry's leading design platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Product & Company Immersion: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company, product portfolio, technology, features, differentiators, and value propositions. Understand what we sell, how our products work, and what makes each model unique.
- Proactive Initiative & Ownership: Own projects end-to-end with minimal oversight. Anticipate marketing and channel needs, proactively propose creative strategies, and independently drive growth-focused design initiatives without relying on project managers to chart the path.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, sales, channel marketing, and leadership teams to gain context, stay informed on product developments, and ensure creative deliverables accurately reflect business priorities.
- Strategic Creative Execution:Translate product knowledge, brand positioning, and audience insights into compelling visual assets and marketing materials that communicate the right message to the right audience.
- Audience & Market Context: Understand the different audiences we serve, including dealers, distributors, retail partners, professional landscapers, golf course professionals, and end consumers. Recognize their individual needs, priorities, knowledge levels, and purchasing motivations.
- Asset Production & Mastery: Expertly utilize the full Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to produce, retouch, and prepare final assets for various outputs (e.g., e-commerce web optimization, print-ready specs, developer handoff).
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in Graphic Design, preferably within Consumer Electronics, Smart Home, or Robotics.
- Autonomous & Cross-Functional Mindset: Should be deeply immersed in the business, not simply operating as an order-taker for creative requests. They should understand the products, the technology behind them, the audiences we serve, and the business objectives behind each project. That knowledge should inform their creative decisions and enable them to proactively bring ideas and solutions to the table.
Technical Expertise
- Adobe Creative Suite: Advanced proficiency in Photoshop (photo manipulation/rendering), Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Figma: Designing UI components, building prototypes, and contributing to centralized design systems.
- Portfolio: An exceptional online portfolio showcasing diverse work that demonstrates a strong foundation in typography, composition, and visual storytelling for technical products, alongside proof of self-directed projects or campaigns.
Preferred Additional Qualifications
- Experience with 3D rendering software (e.g., Blender, Cinema 4D) or Motion Graphics (Adobe After Effects) for product animation and demos.
- Experience designing graphics for tradeshows and in-person events.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing or industrial design process.
- Experience designing for an international or multilingual brand.
