The Graphic Designer is responsible for interacting and designing with new business development, proposal, and operational professionals to develop compelling themes/concepts, convey ideas and design proposal graphics. You will also be assisting our corporate marketing team in brand campaigns and promotions. What do we need?:
- We are currently seeking a Graphic Designer for our corporate office in Fairfax, Virginia. The Graphic Designer is responsible for designing a wide variety of materials across digital and offline media, including targeted branded campaigns and promotions, corporate communications, as well as various marketing and sales collateral pertaining to several hospitality fields. To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment.
How will you make an impact?
- Prepares work to be accomplished by gathering information and materials.
- Plans concept by studying information and materials.
- Illustrates concept by designing rough layout of art and copy regarding arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts.
- Obtains approval of concept by submitting rough layout for approval.
- Prepares finished copy and art by operating typesetting, printing, and similar equipment; and purchasing from vendors.
- Prepares final layout by marking and pasting up finished copy and art.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending design workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participating in professional societies..
What will you bring to the role?
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, or related experience.
- Experience as a graphic designer or in related field.
- Proficiency with required desktop publishing tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office programs.
- Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio primarily focused on creativity, layout and analytical thinking.
- A strong eye for visual composition and attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to effectively organize and coordinate multiple priorities; ability to problem solve under pressure.
- Able to give and receive constructive criticism.
- Understanding of marketing, production, website design, corporate identity, product packaging, advertisements, and multimedia design.

- Ability to travel locally and nationally to units on an occasional basis.
- Ability to sit at a desk in front of a computer for the entire workday.
- Reading and writing work-related documents in English.
- Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of customers and co-workers and the ability to speak clearly so that you can be understood by customers and co-workers in English.
- Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees and current and potential clients.
- Lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 lbs. occasionally, up to 30 lbs. seldom.
