Graphic Designer
The role
Full Time | Design | Orem, UT (in-office)
Who We Are
Aubergine Kitchen is a premium, health-forward fast-casual restaurant group in a high-growth phase. Founded in Orem, Utah in 2014, we now have locations across Utah, Nevada, Arizona and Idaho, and we are expanding. We’re building a distinctive brand around real food, thoughtful ingredients and a more elevated dining experience. Our marketing team is small, collaborative and hands-on; if you want to do meaningful creative work and see it come to life across a growing brand, this is the one.
The Role
We’re hiring a Designer to help execute Aubergine Kitchen’s visual identity across every customer touchpoint. Working closely with our Senior Brand Designer, you’ll create work across digital, print, social, email, in-store signage, menus, campaigns and more, translating marketing ideas into thoughtful, polished creative that feels consistent with where we’re taking the brand.
We’re looking for someone with a strong design eye who can move between creative concepting and hands-on execution. Some days you’ll help develop a campaign or explore a new creative direction; others you’ll be refining assets, making revisions, resizing designs, or turning around requests from across the business. Both matter.
As a growing small business, we need someone who is adaptable, resourceful, and willing to step beyond the traditional boundaries of their role when needed. You should be comfortable juggling multiple priorities, shifting gears quickly, and pitching in wherever your skills can make a difference.
This role focuses on hands-on execution within our established brand system, with room to take on more creative responsibility as you grow with us.
What You’ll Do
Brand & Creative: Design and adapt creative assets across digital, print, social, email, website, menus, packaging and in-store materials, following our brand guidelines to keep every touchpoint cohesive and elevated.
Campaigns & Launches: Bring seasonal menus, new product launches, promotions, grand openings and brand initiatives to life through compelling visual storytelling.
Day-to-Day Execution: Handle the ongoing design needs of a growing marketing team, from quick-turn requests and asset adaptations to revisions, resizing and production-ready files. Manage competing priorities without letting quality slip. Menus, labels and in-store materials include allergen, nutrition and pricing details, so accuracy matters as much as design.
Creative Development: Contribute ideas, explore visual directions and identify opportunities to make our creative stronger. As you grow, take the lead on select projects, with creative direction and final brand approval from our Senior Brand Designer.
Collaboration & Workflow: Work closely with marketing and cross-functional teams to understand briefs, manage timelines and deliver work efficiently. Help keep creative assets organized and improve the processes that support our growing volume of work.
What You’ll Bring
A strong portfolio demonstrating design fundamentals, visual judgment and versatility. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign), as well as Figma and After Effects. Experience preparing print-ready files for vendors. Experience working across multiple formats and adapting creative to different channels. Strong attention to detail, organization and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. Comfort working from both detailed briefs and high-level direction. A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with the initiative to contribute ideas and the flexibility to execute on the needs of the business. Experience with brand development, food, hospitality, lifestyle or consumer brands is a plus, but not required. This role is a great fit for designers with [2–4] years of experience; quality of work, adaptability and attitude matter most.
