The role

We're looking for a talented, creative and highly reliable Freelance Digital Designer to help bring the Plant People brand to life across digital channels. You'll work closely with our marketing and creative teams to develop compelling, on-brand content that not only looks great but also drives performance.

We're a fast-growing wellness brand, so we're looking for someone who can move quickly, think creatively and thrive in an environment where priorities evolve. We value fresh ideas, strong attention to detail and a willingness to experiment.

This is freelance and minimum 10-30 hours a week.

What You'll Work On

  • Paid Social: Design high-performing creative for Meta and other paid channels, including static ads, carousels, motion graphics and multiple variations for A/B testing.
  • Organic Social: Create engaging, visually compelling content for Instagram and other social platforms.
  • Amazon: Develop A+ content, product listing images, storefront graphics and ongoing creative updates to improve conversion.
  • Website & Ecommerce: Design and update product detail pages (PDPs), landing page graphics and other digital assets.
  • Email Marketing: Create engaging email graphics, promotional assets and campaign visuals.
  • Creative Optimization: Resize, refresh, iterate and version existing assets based on performance insights, testing results and team feedback.
  • Brand Evolution: Bring fresh ideas and creative perspectives while maintaining consistency with our brand guidelines. We want someone who contributes creatively, not just executes requests.

Who We're Looking For

  • 2–5 years of professional design experience, ideally with a strong focus on digital, ecommerce and performance marketing creative.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing paid social, organic social, ecommerce and/or Amazon A+ content. Experience with CPG, DTC, wellness or beauty brands is a major plus.
  • Technical proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and/or Figma. Canva experience is a plus.
  • AI fluency: Comfortable using AI-powered creative tools to enhance workflows, edit imagery and generate on-brand visual assets. You embrace AI as a creative accelerator, not a replacement for strong design fundamentals and original thinking.
  • Bonus skills: Motion graphics, basic video editing (After Effects, Premiere, CapCut), 3D product rendering or illustration.
  • Speed without sacrificing quality: You're efficient, detail-oriented and comfortable managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Ownership and accountability: You're proactive, organized and dependable. You communicate clearly, flag challenges early and consistently deliver on commitments.
  • Collaborative mindset: You're receptive to feedback, comfortable with iteration and excited to continuously improve your work.
  • Creative curiosity: You stay current on digital design trends, emerging creative tools and what makes content stand out and convert.

Availability & Expectations

  • Must have consistent availability during U.S. Central Time business hours, with the ability to respond to requests and collaborate with our team throughout the workday.
  • Some projects require same-day turnaround, so responsiveness, flexibility and reliable daytime availability are essential.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and frequent creative iterations.
