The role

Company Description Wylie Co. VFX is a nimble, creative, and highly technical visual effects studio specializing in stunning VFX and post-visualization for leading film and episodic productions. The studio supports the creative pipeline from previs through final delivery, consistently meeting short turnaround times while maintaining high production quality. Wylie Co. VFX is powered by a team of award-winning industry professionals who value collaboration and innovation. The company partners closely with top production teams and leverages cutting-edge technology while operating with the speed, agility, and flexibility of a small studio.

Role Description Art Director: We’re a VFX company at the intersection of creativity and storytelling, and we need someone who wants to own how we show up. You’ll be our one-person marketing team, with room to create, experiment, and shape our brand. You’ll work directly with our artists, turning our VFX projects into content that actually looks as good as the work itself. What you’ll do, build and grow our social presence, design pitch decks, create reels and breakdowns, keep the website sharp, and help us promote the work we’re proud of. We’re looking for a strong design eye, Adobe skills, video editing chops, and the drive to run projects solo. Nice to have: motion graphics, any agency or production experience. This is in-office, Boulder slash Longmont. Salary can be discussed during the interview. If you’re creative, resourceful, and excited to shape how Wylie VFX shows up, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in creative direction and art direction, with the ability to define and communicate a cohesive visual vision across multiple projects.

  • Proficiency in graphics and visual design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud, motion graphics software) and an understanding of VFX pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor creative teams, provide constructive feedback, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • Background in film, television, animation, or VFX production, with a portfolio showcasing high-quality visual work and storytelling.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a remote environment.
