Position Description Summary
To assist in the technical operations by designing graphics to promote events and features of Marketing and Communications. Create and post basic web designs/content Complete graphic work as assigned in a timely manner with deadline in mind Read and direct e-mail and other correspondence Assist in general clerical duties Abide by all University policies Student positions are open to individuals enrolled in a minimum of 6 TRAD credits at UNW .
Required Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: Graphic Design major Minimum of sophomore classification required; junior or senior status preferred. Knowlege, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge and minimal experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) required Creative thinker / problem-solver / high attention to detail Excellent verbal and communication skills; knowledge of grammar, style and spelling Ability to work on Mac products Ability to work within web Content Management Systems and basic knowledge of HTML and CSS preferred Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful and courteous manner Ability to be prompt and conscientious, completing multiple projects prior to deadlines Ability to take directions and be proactive in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment Ability to embrace a changing/evolving list of tasks, responsibilities and department processes Ability to retain sensitive administrative information about the college and maintain confidentiality Photography skills are a plus Online or PDF portfolio of work samples required for consideration
