Job Description Summary
The student graphic designer position at Wilkinson College of Art, Humanities, and Social Sciences will use their creative and technical talents to create and develop visual material for various marketing and communication goals, as directed by the Events and Development Coordinator. The student graphic designer will work with the Wilkinson Deanβs Office Graphic Design team to develop visually appealing content that is consistent with the collegeβs identity and objectives. The graphic designer will provide support for the marketing of college-wide events such as the Engaging the World series and the annual report. Students employed in this position can expect to develop skills in design and will develop a robust professional portfolio.
Responsibilities
Create visually appealing and innovative designs for print and digital media, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and website elements. Collaborate with the Graphic Design team to develop design concepts and strategies that effectively communicate the collegeβs message. Use graphic design software and tools to manipulate and enhance images, create illustrations, and design layouts. Ensure all design materials adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent visual identity. Manage multiple design projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Knowledgeable in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator). Proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs. Professional, dependable, organized, able to multi-task, ability to collaborate. Able to effectively handle confidential and proprietary information. Effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job. Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
