Job Description:

The graphic design student within the CS Everyone Center is a creative collaborator with an eye for visual storytelling. They also possess problem-solving skills to represent complex ideas in visually appealing diagrams and figures. This position will work alongside our in-house graphic designer, staff and students in order to create designs that represent the vision of the CS Everyone Brand.

The student for this position is able to:

  • Ideate, draft and pitch unique professional designs to be used on print, web graphics, promotional materials, swag, social media and more.
  • Collaborate and communicate with our in-house graphic designer to divide and conquer the Center’s design needs, with the support of the Center’s brand guidelines.
  • Collaborate and communicate with staff and students to ideate diagrams, figures and other technical art for the Center’s audience of teachers, students and stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Format files and artwork for professional printing.
  • Maintain visual consistency in line with the Center’s brand identity.
  • Maintain consistency in labeling and organizing files within the CS Everyone Center Google Drive.
  • Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator, InDesign and other software are appreciated), and is knowledgeable on Canva as a collaborative tool with non-designer team members.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.
Expected Salary:

$15.00-$20.00 hourly

Minimum Requirements:
 

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS) and must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average. Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

Be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator, InDesign and other software are appreciated), and is knowledgeable on Canva as a collaborative tool with non-designer team members
