Role Overview: 

We're seeking a versatile and collaborative Senior Designer to elevate the Koalafi brand and support our merchant and customer initiatives. This role involves designing both digital and print materials, managing production processes, and contributing to strategic brand development. As a key member of our small, dynamic team, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our brand's visual identity and market presence. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design execution: Create compelling digital and print materials, including in-store signage, promotional assets, pitch decks, and co-branded content for merchants and partners.
• Brand stewardship: Maintain and evolve the Koalafi brand identity, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints while introducing innovative design solutions that push the brand forward.
• Production management: Oversee the production and distribution of printed materials, coordinating with vendors and ensuring timely delivery to various locations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—including marketing, sales, product, and external partners—to align design efforts with business objectives and campaign strategies. Act as a creative partner across teams, contributing to a culture of open communication, feedback, and shared ownership.
• Stakeholder management: Proactively manage stakeholder relationships by clearly communicating timelines, deliverables, and project updates. Anticipate roadblocks, surface issues early, and ensure alignment throughout the creative process to keep work moving forward efficiently.
• Project prioritization: Leverage existing assets and insights to prioritize tasks effectively, seeking support when necessary to manage workload and meet deadlines. 

Qualifications: 

• Degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field. 

• Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, adapting to changing priorities and timelines. 

• 5+ years of professional design experience, preferably within fintech, financial services, retail, direct to consumer brands, or a related industry. 

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), PowerPoint, and familiarity with design tools like Figma, Marketo, and Customer.io. 

• Strong portfolio showcasing a range of design projects across digital and print mediums. 

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and collaborate effectively with diverse teams. 

Preferred Attributes: 

• Familiarity with generative AI tools like Chat GPT and Midjourney 

• Experience working with merchant or partner marketing programs. 

• Familiarity with production processes for printed materials, including vendor management and distribution logistics. 

• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices in design.
