POSITION TITLE: District Graphic Designer/Executive Assistant/Art Teacher

 

FLSA: Non-Exempt

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree

 

REPORTS TO: Deputy Superintendent/Campus Principal

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

Graphic Designer

  • Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals
  • Obtain input from managers to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the company or client appropriately
  • Work independently as well as cooperatively with marketing team to meet deadlines, stay within budget, and schedule project implementation based on workload, which may include five or more simultaneous projects
  • Examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve design capabilities
  • Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video

Executive Assistant

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to departments or individuals.
  • Previous experience working in Human Resources.
  • Schedule meetings and arrange conference rooms.
  • Alert manager about cancelations or new meetings.
  • Manage travel and schedule.
  • Handle information requests.
  • Prepare correspondence and stuff mail into envelopes.
  • Arrange for outgoing mail and packages to be picked up.
  • Prepare statistical reports.
  • Manage spreadsheets.
  • Prepare confidential and sensitive documents.
  • Coordinates office management activities.
  • Determine matters of top priority and handle accordingly.
  • Prepare agenda for meetings.
  • Takes and transcribes dictation.
  • Maintain office procedures.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements; prepares itineraries; prepares, compiles and maintains travel vouchers and records.
  • Operate office equipment, such as photocopy machine and scanner.
  • Coordinate committees and task forces.
  • Relay directives, instructions and assignment to executives.
  • Receive and relay telephone messages.
  • Direct the general public to the appropriate staff member.
  • Maintain hard copy and electronic filing system.

Teacher

  • Participate in curriculum review and design.
  • Implement a variety of effective instructional strategies consistent with lesson objectives.
  • Diagnose and evaluates student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
  • Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
  • Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
  • Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
  • Refer students for alternative services as provided by the District (ESL, Reading, Special Reading).
  • Effectively implement district initiatives.
  • Effectively collaborate with department and grade level teachers.
